Saying "see you later" to Katy

To whom it may concern!
I have to write this now in fear that I will be too emotional to write it closer to the move!

I want you all to know we will miss each and everyone of you new and old that we have met here in Katy, Texas. Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start. When I first moved here from Fort Worth I was more than heart broken and never did I imagine I would make such amazing friends, friends that not only are friends but family while we were far away from blood relatives.
We have a neighborhood that is a dream and neighbors that are a true blessing. I spend so much of my life outside with Dylan and my dog, Cami. I love playing and talking with our neighbors, you are gems in our life!
Tennis... Wow! It is true that sports can build relationships. I met beautiful ladies through a sport I had never played in my life. Memories I will keep locked up for a lifetime! You are beautiful inside and out...all of you!
Bunco...Hee Hee! This group of "real housewives of Katy" were my first group of friends I met when I moved here and I'm pretty sure I will stay in touch with most of you the most. We just work together as friends as corking and funny, crazy and serious, OCD and not so much we all just can have to best time together! I can't wait to come back each month to see you ladies!
Bunco number two... Thanks to a tennis gal friend, I met these classy group of ladies! This may be the most crafty group I've been involved with! If you need gifts or just something to spice up your own life, these are the girls to get with. I am so lucky to have met you and hope to stay in touch with you fun ladies!
Pregnant Cari and beyond... I have never felt so blessed with such love then when I was pregnant and on bed rest and after Dylan was born. Everyone came over with food, gifts, tips and tricks and babysitting and I could ask anyone anything and they would give it to me straight! Thank you for being there through that time in my life, you all truly lifted me up and I appreciate it so very much!
Playgroup and small group... This is the newest group I have been blessed with and I fell hard for these people! Class, responsibility mixed with fun and being real and loving the Lord pretty much sums it up. Dylan and I will probably miss our little playgroup family more than anything because we have spent the most time together and time that was so needed when days were long and when you feel like you can't sit and look at the walls any longer there you were calling to play!
Ryan and I moved to Katy in 2009, we built a life for ourselves here and in these years we have added a Cami and a Dylan to our family and you all have been witnesses.
My mom told me once that you will find friends in Dallas that have the same aspects you love as your close friends here in Katy and I know this is true,
but you all will have a special place in my heart because you are like the family I got to chose!
We will be four hours away and I know alot of you already visit Dallas or drive through Dallas to get elsewhere and I hope you call and visit anytime!
With that said, I also hope to visit the Houston area to see all of you. So save a bed for us :)

I have saved the above for a couple weeks and I can't believe it's actually moving day...Packers came today and load the truck tomorrow and we are off.
Thursday May 9th will be our last day in Katy, Texas for now.
I love you all and will miss you all,but I know we will stay close with social media for which I am grateful.
Lots of Love,
Cari,Ryan,Cami, and Dylan
May 2013

April showers bring May flowers...oops! I mean moving...

Alright! I promised one last blog from 1210 Sand Pines Katy,Texas
so here it is...
Happy baby in a precious outfit makes for one very happy mommy!
In April I had a couple girl friends over and one of them had this beautiful color pink nail polish on SO I went to the exact same nail salon to have mine done the same color, only problem is the beautiful color was shellac and I wanted "regular" polish. So my friend and I search high and low for a similar color...she found it! YAY
We put our house on the market April 26th 2013. Dylan and I spent countless hours running errands or just sitting in the car playing down the street while it rained... The next two pictures are from one of those days!
"Buy our house already people!" For the record...
it only took 7 days on the market for this house to sell.
I found this the other day on face book! Zucchini chips...I'd eat these any day over potato chips!
As you all already know, Dylan and I walk the neighborhood A LOT!
This day was so beautiful as we walked and ate raisins.

These are the bottle brush that I had transplanted when we first moved in. I wish I could take them with us to Dallas, I just love the look of them!
Wednesday May 1st 2013 Dylan gave me a scare! We were playing in the garage and I turned the corner and Dylan had a broken sample perfume bottle in her hand. I wasn't sure if she had put any glass in her mouth, but I wanted to be better safe than sorry!
I rushed her to her pediatrician who then sent us downtown to Texas Children's Hospital where we waited for 8 hours...which began a horrible story which you all don't have time for, but the good news is that Dylan is happy and healthy and had not swallowed glass.
I however am still fighting the hospital system...
Oh now this is something to smile about! I found this little gem at the local HEB. I had to return days later for more because they are so delicious!!!
This is what the counter looks like when you have an 18 month old helping you make
chocolate chip cookies!

Last night I was presented with a leaving Katy gift from my parents! Can you believe this turtle sculpture?! I LOVE it and can't wait to look at it everyday! Love statement pieces that have a story behind them...Dylan and I spend alot of our time in Katy down at the Falcon Point pond feeding the "tur-tles" as Dylan says!
THANK YOU mom and dad!!! I love you
 Today, Wednesday May 8th  2013
Packing day... The movers came at 9:00am to pack all of our stuff! They will be back tomorrow to load it all and then we are off.
I took my camera down to the pond today because it's probably the last time we will be down to feed the turtles before we leave tomorrow...
Holy batman this fish is HUGE and this is the first time I actually had my camera out to snap a picture. Wonder how long it's lived in the pond?!
Dylan was playing model pose for me! Hee hee

What an amazing 3 1/2 years this place has been for our family! We love Katy and Falcon Point neighborhood. You will be missed, but not forgotten! We will be back to visit one day...promise!
The next blog will be from our new home in The Colony,Texas!
Lots of Love,
Cari and Dylan
