Much needed mommy 'get away'

Mom and I decided this month that we needed a little mother daughter get away so we decided not to go too far and The Woodlands sounded like the perfect distance and since mom had never been there we were both very excited to spend the weekend!

We did not lack on food...we ate VERY well! First night we were there we ate at Jasper's and let me tell you, this place was delish! Gourmet Backyard Cuisine was what was on the menu!
 CHEERS!
We did some shopping at Market Street
Saturday we had some spa treatments then went to lunch at Tommy Bahama in Market St.
We didn't even feel like we were in Texas! The company and atmosphere was amazing!
I had a pineapple vodka and soda...yummy!
That night we went to another part of town and had dinner at this Market called Hubble and Hudson. It is like a food market with amazing produce and meat and inside the store they also have a bistro that makes farm to table type dishes from items found in the market! Perfection
We saw this view from a bridge on our walk to Hubble and Hudson!
Here is where we stayed! It was off the path and away from the action,
but it was nice and very comfy!
 Hubble and Hudson

 Veggies are crisp!
 Fruits are bright!
 Beer is flowing!
 The moto...

I came home refreshed! I couldn't have asked for a better trip that is for sure. Thank you mom for everything, I love you!

Joyful in January!

Wow! I noticed now that I am not doing Dylan's Project 365,
I have really been slacking on our blog :(
So sorry! Hope you enjoy viewing all the joyful times we had in January!

I LOVE all of her little facial expression!

Dylan and I met Amanda, Cole, and Levi Host at Katy Mills mall to play indoors because it was a chilly one outside. Here is Cole giving Dylan a "ride" in the ranger.
Dylan was checking out Levi's ear! HA
Here is Dylan looking precious in an outfit great cousin Kim gave her at Christmas!
Awwwww...Chocolate pudding painting!!! Who wouldn't want to finger paint with this treat?!
This is a little project idea I took from my days of teaching. I think Dylan enjoyed it, what do you think...

 Oh what FUN!!!
Weather in Texas is so weird! One day it's freezing and the next it's a beautiful 70 degrees out. This day was amazing so we spent most of the day outside!!! We all LOVED it!
And then there is cold weather, but it can't hold us down!
 Back to warm weather...
 And it's cold again...
But mother nature finally got it together and gave us this wonderful day!!!

Ryan and I took Dylan to our first trip to the Houston zoo! We had the most amazing time!!! I don't know who liked it more, me or Dylan :)
 Dylan in the petting zoo...GOATS!

This was ALL of our favorite part! Feeding the giraffe!!! We got so close, it was so super fun!

 They are SO beautiful!
January 14th was my birthday and Ryan took me out to dinner at our usual birthday spot, Perry's Steakhouse while Gran and Epaw watched Dylan! Yippee
I found this new app on my phone that had different frames and picture cut outs.
I like to play with pictures of Dylan!
 Amazing sky!
This picture is a little out of place...We weren't in the car 10 min. after we left the zoo and this was the view from the backseat! She crashed!
I don't know who is attention starved around here, but you would think this one is...This was the view I had while trying to eat lunch one day.
Yes that is Cami sitting in my lab while I used a pillow for a tray!
Haha! This picture cracks me up. Dylan found the remote for our bed.
Here she has hit the massage button and LOVED it.
Glad she likes it, because it makes me motion sick :) HA.
One afternoon while it was pretty outside we made a spontaneous trip to the park with Amanda, Cole, and Levi Host to play. We love playing with those three!
Here is Dylan and her boyfriend Levi!
They are 5 months apart and it's really had to imagine how fast they are both growing!

hee hee! Cole and Levi sharing a diaper swing.
Cami was having a hard time getting out of bed Monday morning! SNOOZE
 "IICCCEEE"

These next two pictures are tricky...Is it me or Dylan???
Yep! It's me..but isn't it funny how much we look alike :)
This face! She kills me with all of her facial expressions.
Everyday is filled with laughter watching this girl!
Gran bought her this bouncy horse and this is her first time on it. I'd day it is a hit!
 BATHTIME!

I sell Arbonne and was getting ready for an Ultimate Arbonne facial for two ladies. Dylan wanted in on the action so she put on her head band to keep her hair out of her eyes :)

If you have a picky eater maybe you should try these!!!
Oh my gosh they are good and kid tested, mother approved!
Dylan and I both love them. Loaded with protein and veggies.

Katy,TX finally got a Whole Foods!!! This place is AWESOME

That about covers it! Our joyful January in a nutshell.
Hope you all enjoyed this month as much as we did :)
Lots of Love,
Cari and Dylan Avery
